Bio
James is a passionate Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) who is motivated to serve the needs of his clients. He is in pursuit of becoming a Registered Psychotherapist and continues to make efforts in his professional career to build relevant experience and competence.
James has completed a BSc in Psychology and a MHK in Intervention and Consultation. He has worked as a CMPC for athletes ranging in age (u14-Master's) at various levels of competition including National Club, Varsity University, and International Club. He has also delivered wellness workshops to front-line social workers of the housing and opioid crises.
Presently, he consults with athletes, teams and coaches in various endurance racing sports (swimming, nordic skiing, dragon boating). James is also a part-time Street Outreach Worker with the Salvation Army Ottawa, where he supports the street-sleeping unhoused population manage needs and apply towards housing. As a lifelong athlete, James currently competes in rugby at the club level with the Bytown Blues RFC, and has completed three marathons with the intention to work towards completing ultramarathons and Iron Mans.
