Bio
Cassandra has been working as a mental performance consultant since 2016. She earned her master’s in intervention and consultation that same year, and completed her PhD in mental performance in 2023. Her doctoral research focused on identifying the psychosocial needs of elite athletes with sport-related concussions, and the development of tools for mental performance consultants to support clients in that space. Cassandra has published several articles on mental performance, sport-related concussion, coaching, and professional development.
As a certified mental performance consultant, her consulting specialities include support for returning to sport/work following concussions and other sport-related injuries, as well as facilitating optimal performance within high-performance settings (sport, military, performing arts). A former National Team athlete herself, Cassandra understands the high-performance context and aims to support clients on route to obtaining their goals, rebounding from difficult circumstances (e.g., injuries), and living an overall active and healthy lifestyle.
Cassandra is also an approved mentor with the CSPA and AASP for mental performance consultants in training, guest lectures in a variety of highly regarded sport psychology undergraduate and graduate programs, and runs workshops for her peers and clients alike.
