Biography: 

Dr. Sebastian Harenberg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Kinetics at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, NS. He teaches in the areas of sport psychology and group dynamics. He is currently the head of mental performance and a mental performance consultant with St. Francis Xavier University's athletics department. In this capacity, he has worked with a variety of teams and athletes. He also provides mental performance services for individuals and organizations outside of academia as well. Dr. Harenberg has worked with athletes from a variety of ages (12-45) and sports (e.g., soccer, hockey, dance, boxing, weightlifting, etc.). Dr. Harenberg has a long history of coaching (10+ years) in soccer and holds a Provincial B license. He has been an assistant coach with the University of Regina Cougars (USPORT - CanWest) and Ithaca Bombers (NCAA DIV III) Women's soccer teams. He also coached the Women's U18 Team Saskatchewan at the 2016 Soccer Nationals. Dr. Harenberg's approach to mental performance services is athlete-centric and builds on teaching important skills to enhance athletic performance and well-being.
