Bio
Poonam Sandhu-Mooker is a certified mental performance consultant (CMPC) and founder of Poonam Sandhu Performance Consulting Inc., a private practice in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Poonam is a professional member with the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA) and the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP). Poonam is also a Program Consultant & Facilitator with Canadian Women & Sport leading gender equity projects with various sporting organizations ranging from grassroots to professional teams, and a facilitator with Via Sport (BC sports agency) providing workshops for Safe Sport and Youth sports programming. Poonam is a managing council member with CSPA and is the lead of the equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility committee. Prior to her consulting role she was a national team athlete with Field Hockey Canada from 2008-2014 and a varsity athlete with the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds, winning 5 Usports national championships, becoming the first field hockey athlete in Canada to obtain this record. Poonam combines her experience as a high performance athlete, coach and mental performance consultant to support her clients succeed.
