Bio

Bryan is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant® and a Ph.D. Candidate at Ontario Tech University researching essential environmental characteristics to support athlete development. His master's research exploring the transition experience that professional hockey players experience during being called up and sent down. Currently, he is the lead Mental Performance Consultant for the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks teams and is leading the development and implementation of tailored mental skills training programs to support student-athletes.

Bryan is able to bridge the gap from research-to-practice by leaning on his own research to inform mental skills training he provides to assist athletes in coping with the adversities they experience on the field, pitch, floor, or ice. Providing athletes with evidence-informed mental skills training allows athletes the opportunity to thrive in high-stress environments. His approach with each athlete is tailored to their needs as there is no "cookie-cutter" way to help athletes excel in sports.
