Bio
Bryan McLaughlin, Ph.D., CMPC, is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant® and the founder of BM Performance, where he works with athletes, coaches, executives, and first responders. His clients include players in the NHL, AHL, SHL, ECHL, and NCAA.
He developed and implemented the first mental performance program at the OHL's Owen Sound Attack, and built Ontario Tech University's first mental performance program for varsity student-athletes.
As a postdoctoral fellow funded by the Tanenbaum Institute for Science in Sport (TISS), Bryan studies athlete-environment fit and the use of implementation science in sport. He has developed the first Athlete Fit Tool (AFT), which measures how well an athlete fits the sport system, the team, their role, and their coach.
There is no cookie-cutter version of this work. Bryan starts with the athlete in front of him, meets them where they are, and builds from there.
Bryan works out of the Brampton/Mississauga area but meets with athletes virtually as well.
