Biography
Born and raised in Montreal, and in Ottawa since 2019, Jason is a high-performance coach turned CMPC. He brings a lifetime of sport and coaching experience, driven by his passion for helping others succeed in a meaningful way. He believes in a world where sport can be used to develop fitness and life skills to pursue success, fulfillment, and happiness.
Jason holds a master's degree in Intervention and Consultation from the University of Ottawa. He has worked as a CMPC in the high-performance context for several years with Volleyball Canada, Curling Canada, and Archery Canada. Before that, he spent many years coaching swimming and teaching at McGill. He's currently consulting with athletes, teams, and coaches in various sport and corporate contexts. He facilitates coach development with the provinces of Ontario and Quebec, and teaches in the Department of Human Kinetics at uOttawa.
Jason’s most recent endeavour is co-founding the mental performance startup Build Better Humans. This company's mission is to make sure every young athlete learns life skills through sport, and to help every parent, coach, and organization learn the tools to teach them.
