Biography:Â
Danielle Poulos is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant who is deeply committed to fostering enjoyment, wellbeing, and sustainable excellence in sport. She believes that performance and wellbeing not only coexist, but are essential partners in creating positive high-performance cultures. This philosophy shapes her person-centered approach, helping athletes, coaches, and teams build holistic life skills, resilience, and environments where people can genuinely thrive. Since 2005, Danielle has supported athletes from youth to Olympians, as well as coaches, parents, and high-performing professionals. Her work focuses on mental skills, mental health, team dynamics, confidence, emotional intelligence, communication, performance anxiety, and resilience. Danielle is also one of a select group to complete the IOC Certificate in Mental Health in Elite Sport. Her perspective is enriched by two decades of coaching—nationally and internationally—including time in Switzerland and Sicily. She has also contributed to culture work with National Sport Organizations through the Culture of Excellence Project. Beyond consulting, Danielle has held research and educator roles in sport, gender equity, adult education, and wellbeing, and has taught at Dalhousie and Acadia University.
