Biography: 

For over twenty-five years, Colin has lived and breathed high-performance environments. His straightforward approach as an executive coach and corporate educator has been honed through uniquely diverse experiences as a professional athlete, mental performance consultant, and trusted advisor to senior business teams and C-suite leaders of global companies.

Colin has experience leading diverse teams of professionals. From 2005 to 2012, he was contracted to the Canadian Sailing Team and led an interdisciplinary group of sports science and medicine professionals for Canada’s Own the Podium organization. He was also the Integrated Sport Team lead and mental performance consultant to Paralympic and Olympic sailors and coaches in Athens (2004), Beijing (2008), and London (2012).

Consulting experiences for Colin include long-term assignments within the legal department leadership team of an oil field services Fortune 200 company, facilitating CEO succession and talent development with large horizontally and vertically integrated value-added seafood and pork companies, guiding high potential development with one of the Big Four accounting firms, and cultural transformation at energy utilities in Nova Scotia, Florida, New Mexico, and Phoenix.

Colin is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (copyright) with citizenship in the U.S., Canada and the UK. He earned his undergraduate and master's degrees (Kinesiology) from Dalhousie University (1998) in Halifax, N.S., where he was inducted into the Dalhousie Sport Hall of Fame. A Ph.D. (Kinesiology/Behavioural Science) was completed at Temple University (2008) in Philadelphia, PA, where he also completed a Graduate Certificate in Disability Studies at the renowned Institute on Disabilities.

Colin's personal time is spent with his wife, raising their two children, and helping them develop their appreciation of family, community, and the ocean.
