Jean Fournier, PhD

Biography: Jean Fournier is an associate professor at the University of Paris West, France. He has consulted in mental training with Olympic athletes and coaches at the French Institute of Sports, Paris, and with the French Golf Federation. He has served as the director of sport sciences at the National Institute of Sport in Montréal, Canada. His research has focused on mental training, imagery, attention, and mindfulness. He served as the Co-Editor of the International Journal of Sport Psychology for 10 years.

Biography: Andrew recently completed his PhD at the University of Wolverhampton in England, specializing in sports psychology and emotion regulation. He holds a Masters of Arts in Kinesiology (University of Ottawa) and a Bachelor of Arts (University of Winnipeg) in psychology and kinesiology & applied health. During his PhD, he was a member of the Emotion Regulation of Others and Self-research group (erosresearch.org) examining interpersonal emotion regulation within sports teams.

 

Before coming back to Wolverhampton for a postdoctoral research fellowship, Andrew worked at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay. His current research interests include emotion regulation, group dynamics, and professional practice in applied sports psychology. Andrew is also an applied sports psychology practitioner having worked with professional and amateur elite athletes for over 12 years.

Walter McCutcheon, EdD

Biography: Dr. McCutcheon is currently residing in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. He is an Adjunct Professor of Sport and Performance Psychology at the University of Western States. He is also an Adjunct Professor at AMDA at the LA campus. As a mental performance specialist, Dr. McCutcheon is competent working with most performance domains - sports or otherwise. His specialty in performance psychology is focused on providing services for performing artists. As a principal research investigator, he is specifically interested in and concerned with the health and welfare of performing artists. Beyond performing artists, Dr. McCutcheon works with professional athletes, university athletes, high school athletes, and everything in between. Coaches, teams, and individuals he has worked with have successfully competed in state, national, and international competitions. He also enjoys working with Esports directors, coaches, teams, and individuals. On a personal note, Dr. McCutcheon is an individual who lives with disabilities. His struggles give him a unique perspective on performance setbacks. He is a motivational speaker and accomplished vocalist, musician, writer and actor. He is also a certified mentor for the Association for Applied Sports Psychology.

Biography: Annika's passion for sport psychology was born from her own experience as an athlete in the world of high-performance equestrian sport, where she gained over ten years professional coaching experience. Annika works collaboratively with her to clients to understand and then remove the mental obstacles holding them back from unlocking their full potential in sport and life. She is passionate about empowering clients to recognise their true, unlimited and brilliant selves. Her approach combines empirically backed knowledge with human-focused insights and has supported professional and amateur athletes internationally to reach successful results. Annika loves working with anyone who is driven to grow and this has led to experience supporting high-performing individuals with health/fitness related goals and career/business goals.
