Bio
After over 15 years of working in mental performance in NCAA Division I athletics, Dr. Ross-Stewart returned to her home city of Winnipeg. She is currently the Director of Mental Performance for STRIVE Fitness and Therapy and works as an independent consultant. Lindsay spent 2014 to 2022 as the Director of Mental Performance for the SIUE Cougars in the Ohio Valley Conference. Within this position Dr. Ross-Stewart worked with teams, coaches, and individual athletes to help them develop their mental game for optimal sport performance. Dr. Ross-Stewart is an Association for Applied Sport Psychology Certified Mental Performance Consultant and a Registered Mentor. Dr, Ross-Stewart was named the Ohio Valley Conference Student Success Faculty Member of the Year and the Association for Applied Sport Psychology 2024 Faculty Excellence Award Winner.
Dr. Ross-Stewart is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Health at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Dr. Ross-Stewart obtained her PhD in Psychology and her M.S in Kinesiology from the University of North Dakota, and her B.A. in Psychology from Mount Allison University. Dr. Ross-Stewart’s research has been published in numerous journals including, The Journal of Sports Science, The Sports Journal, The Journal of Physical Fitness, Medicine and Treatment in Sports, The Sport Psychologist, Journal of Imagery Research in Sport and Physical Activity, International Journal of Coaching Science, and the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology.
Dr. Ross-Stewart works with clients in person and virtually at all levels of sport.
