Bio

Shelby is a certified mental performance consultant with the Canadian Sport Psychology Association and owner of A Cognitive Edge (ACE) Mental Performance Consulting. Launching this business while completing her PhD in Kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier University, Shelby has worked with athletes within the Greater Toronto Area and throughout the tri-cities of Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge. Working both at the University, and minor sport levels, Shelby has worked with teams and individual athletes toward performance improvements and optimizations. Shelby's goal is to work with athletes and other high performing populations to help identify the positive potential for mental performance training, incorporating skills and strategies as a means for personal growth and development in order to be optimally prepared for potential performance challenges.
