Biography: 

Katherine is a Professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on athlete mental health; stress, coping, and emotion regulation; and youth athletes’ experiences in sport and the influence of parents and coaches in youth sport. She is the Editor in Chief for the journal Psychology of Sport and Exercise, and she also served as the President of the Canadian Society for Psychomotor Learning and Sport Psychology (SCAPPS). In addition to her research and teaching, Katherine is a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Mental Performance Consultant providing clinical psychotherapy services and mental performance support for athletes, coaches, and individuals working in various high-performance environments including sport, music, and performing arts.
